Real Families, Real Impact

Ronil Singh was a 33-year-old police officer with the Newman Police Department in California. Singh pulled over a suspected drunk driver during a routine traffic stop. Moments later, the suspect opened fire, fatally shooting Singh before fleeing the scene. The perpetrator was Gustavo Perez Arriaga, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico with known gang affiliations and prior arrests. Officer Ronil Singh left behind his wife, Anamika Singh, and their five-month-old son at the time of his death.
