WASHINGTON, DC – The American Border Story (TABS) today released the following statement applauding President Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address. During the address, President Trump honored Angel Families and highlighted the historic progress his administration has made in securing the border and protecting American communities:
“Just two days after designating February 22 as National Angel Families Day, President Trump delivered the 2026 State of the Union address to reaffirm that under his leadership, the United States will always prioritize border security, law enforcement, and public safety. With members of the Medina and Coleman Angel Families present at last night’s address, America was reminded of the human cost of unsecured borders and the moral imperative to enforce our laws.
“Despite constant pushback from Democrat politicians and judicial saboteurs, President Trump has given new hope to mothers, fathers, spouses, and children who have suffered unimaginable loss due to crimes committed by illegal aliens.
“In President Trump’s first year back in office, the United States achieved negative net migration for the first time in more than 50 years, reversing decades of unchecked immigration and restoring control of our borders. More than 2.6 million illegal aliens were removed from the United States through deportations and voluntary departures, including over 400,000 criminal illegal aliens charged with or convicted of serious crimes. President Trump is making American communities safe again.
