WASHINGTON, DC – Today, The American Border Story (TABS) issued the following statement slamming Boston Mayor Michelle Wu for issuing a new executive order that blocks ICE from using city property to stage enforcement operations and from entering nonpublic areas of municipal buildings without a warrant:
“Since taking office, Mayor Michelle Wu has repeatedly proven that she cares more about coddling criminals than protecting law-abiding Boston families. Just a few months ago, the DOJ sued Mayor Wu and the city of Boston over sanctuary policies that allow violent offenders to walk the streets with impunity and evade federal law enforcement. Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
“In 2025, homicides in the city of Boston went up by a staggering 36% – proof that Mayor Wu has abdicated her duty and failed to keep her city safe. Now, she has introduced a reckless executive order clearly designed to obstruct critical immigration enforcement operations and perpetuate dangerous narratives that encourage violence against the brave men and women of ICE.
“It is time for Mayor Wu to acknowledge her failings and step down from her role immediately. The people of Boston deserve better. In the meantime, ICE will continue its mission to enforce our laws, restore order, and protect our communities.”
