WASHINGTON, DC – Today, The American Border Story (TABS) issued the following statement after a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employee was murdered during a violent crime spree in Georgia carried out by an immigrant with a significant criminal record who was naturalized under the Biden administration:
“An innocent public servant is dead because a dangerous individual with a known history of violent crime was allowed to become a U.S. citizen under the Biden administration. Lauren Bullis, a 40-year-old DHS auditor, was walking her dog when she was brutally shot and stabbed by Olaolukitan Adon-Abel during a deranged series of attacks across the Atlanta area.
“This was entirely preventable. Adon-Abel had prior convictions for sexual battery, assault with a deadly weapon, battery against a police officer, and other serious offenses. He was naturalized in 2022 under the Biden administration and remained in the country, where he went on to murder Lauren Bullis and Prianna Weathers, and critically injure another victim in a string of random attacks on Monday.
“This is the direct result of the Democrats’ broken immigration system, which prioritizes leniency over public safety. When violent offenders are granted citizenship and allowed to stay in our communities, innocent Americans pay the price. Democratic politicians who protect violent criminals from foreign countries must be held accountable.
“TABS extends its condolences to the Bullis family, her colleagues at DHS, and the families of every victim impacted by this horrific violence.”
