WASHINGTON, DC –  Today, The American Border Story (TABS) issued the following statement condemning open-border policies after the tragic murder of 15-year-old Miles Young in Missouri at the hands of an illegal immigrant:

“A 15-year-old boy is dead after being ambushed, chased, and shot while begging for his life. Miles Young should still be alive today. Instead, his family is grieving an unimaginable loss because a criminal illegal alien was allowed to enter and remain in the United States.

“Yefry Archaga-Elvir, a Honduran national who had previously been released into the country by the Obama Administration, lured Miles into a trap, blocked his escape, and carried out a premeditated killing. This individual should never have been in our country in the first place, but weak immigration enforcement under Democrat administrations have created safe havens that attract criminals and put American communities at risk.

“TABS stands with the Young family and all victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens. We demand accountability from policymakers who continue to support policies that protect criminals at the expense of American families. Enough is enough.”
